I SPECIALISE IN HELPING WOMEN IN THEIR 30S & 40S GET RID OF ACNE - FOR GOOD!

I help women who have become a shell of their former selves, not wanting to go out  and socialise with friends, not wanting 'that' promotion at work because it involves public speaking and avoiding the camera lens at all costs because they are so self-conscious of their skin. With personalised nutrition, skin care and lifestyle advice, I will help you to get clear, beautiful skin so that you have the confidence to apply for that new job and you have the self-esteem to get out there and meet new people. You can finally put a stop to spending hours trawling the internet, researching solutions, reading labels, changing your skincare every five minutes and never being able to put your finger on what could be triggering your own acne.

hello,

I'm rebecca

Preparing Healthy Food

That is why my programme is bespoke to each individual based on their case review. I will take away the headache for you of having to try lots of different things by recommending research based methods tailored to your specific triggers. No more lost hours in the Google rabbit hole and no more spending endless amounts on creams.

I chose to study health and nutrition at the College of Naturopathic Medicine because I was at a crossroads in my life and wanted to finally do something that I felt passionate about with the view to changing my career.

WHEN IT COMES TO GETTING RID OF ACNE THERE IS NO ONE SIZE THAT FITS ALL. ACNE IS MULTIFACTORIAL SO TRYING TO PINPOINT ONE INDIVIDUAL TRIGGER IS PROBABLY WHERE YOU'RE GOING WRONG.

Like most people, I had a few spots as a teenager but what I was less prepared for were the spots that plastered my forehead in my 20s at a time when I was responsible for meeting clients, giving sales presentations and presenting at trade shows. I lived in France at that time which meant that I had easy access to a dermatologist but the acne was not my only issue. I remember frequently having to leave work in the afternoon with severe stomach cramps - it literally felt like someone was pushing a metal bar into my stomach. And so the journey began to try and find out what was causing my different symptoms. I realised that wheat was a big problem for me - of course it was, I lived in France for goodness sake - baguette at every meal, croissants and 'pain au chocolat' - eating lots of pasta, colleagues constantly bringing in delicious pastries because they were celebrating their birthday, engagement, you name it! Within two days of removing wheat, my stomach pains were gone, it was incredible! That plus the recommendations from the dermatologist and I had my acne under control. Now you may think here that I'm saying that gluten was the cause of my acne - I'm not. What came with all of those gluten containing products was a lot of refined sugars, and they can and do trigger acne in a lot of people. Acne can be triggered by lots of other things, it's finding out what is triggering your own acne and removing that trigger so you can look and feel great in your own skin.

What we eat makes a huge difference to our general wellbeing. It can be so life-changing and indeed even life-saving for some people. I want to bring women that suffer with acne on board with me and do this in a way that is meaningful and accessible to them. I do this using food, nutritional supplements and herbs along with functional testing recommendations if appropriate.

I’m a member of the Association for Naturopathic Practitioners (ANP) and registered with the General Naturopathic Council.

There are no ‘good’ and ‘bad’ foods and I encourage the people that I work with to adopt a good - better - best approach to how they eat rather than beating themselves up constantly for not getting it right 100% of the time.

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT WILL LEAD TO LONGER LASTING RESULTS THAN STRIVING FOR PERFECTION
